Going to try a GP3000 shaft on my Sovereign Elite

I wonder if anyone has done this and what the results were. Not sure if I am going to mount the control box on the shaft, or hipmount, but want to run a meter and the Sunray S1 probe on it.
I think the hand grip will be ajustable,so it can be adjusted for the coil I use to balance it out.
Just wanted to see if anyone has done one and tips they can give me.

Hi Rick,I have'nt seen a sovereign mounted on a long shaft with all the trimings on it,when you get it done I'd sure like to see the pic. I mounted an XT18000 on a 2 piece Otto G/P shaft from Coiltek here in Australia, DOC or Rob A. might stock the Otto shafts in the States, I usually run a WOT coil or a 17"x11"dd Wallaby with 18000 windings in it that Coiltek kindly made up for me and the balance works out just fine for me though you will get better balance being mounted directly under the armrest as I could only mount my box between the armrest and handgrip. I'll be real interested to see how you go anyway Rick as I hope to get an Elite soon for beach and park detecting.Best of luck.
