Gold Bug 1 info anywhere?

Gone Bananas

New member
Are there any sites I can go to that deal with the Gold Bug 1? For being a good detector for gold that has been really popular, even though it has been discontinued, it seems there would be some good information about the detector, how to use it, and the things people have found with theirs. Any ideas? This forum is pretty limited on info for the Gold Bug 1.

Firstly, it's called the Goldbug. The owners manual is available at the fisherlab.com website. The manual will tell you how to set it up and use it.
Doing a websearch for fisher gold bug, I found a story about it's use by two prospectors.
One used the original gold bug, the other had the GB2.
Also, there's a field test at losttreasure.com.
I even found a site that still has a new one for sale @$400.
That should get you started!

I don't mean to argue or anything but it's called the Gold Bug, according to the manual I already downloaded from the Fisher site! And also have already seen the articles by the Alaskan Mining site. I was looking for more info about the usage and finds of the GB. But, thanks for the reply. I found an instructional video on eBay for $7.00 after I posted the first message. Should be what I'm looking for. Haven't received it yet, though. Thanks again.
