Gold Chains

Is anyone having any luck finding thin to medium gold chains with the 10 x 14 DD or the 8 Mono?
 
it was a 2 years ago, the 10X14 and a medium chain. Have been using my Excal a lot, but may grit my teeth and use the Infinium a lot more - see my post on the Beach Forum - It finally happened.
 
I guess I can assume by the overwhelming response that not many gold chains are being found unless you get lucky and hit the lobster claw or a charm. My Excal wont read them and the LS 10 x 14DD won't either. The 8 inch mono will but not very deep
