Gold king

I have been given a 5Khz gold king,brand new still in the box,put new batteries and fired it up and of i go,plenty of knobs to play with along with bells and whistles,instuctions not included but what do you expect for nothing,could someone tell me how old it would be,and what it would it have cost when released it looks like it would have been a wizz bang detector in its day,now the yella fella has a companion with the same blood line.There is more to detecting than just finding treasure,its the people you meet along the way Bazz
