I'm new to this machine and haven't been able to get the directions off the net . Can you please help me on some info. How do I set the machine up. I'm trying to keep the reject knob all the way counter clock wise and adjust the threshold so I get a smooth sound. Ive tried playing with the SAT But I'm just grabbing at straws. I hope this makes some sense to you I'm always open for suggestions. Thanks Spoke to Mr. Bill what a great guy he gave me some suggestions , just wondering what else is out there.

I run mine with threshold where you can barely hear it, reject at min.and sat. at half way, if it is still to noisy,,move the reject up one line, I've been doing it this way for four years and it works for me. My Goldquest SS loves gold.

http://goldquestdetectorguide.blogspot.com/ Here is a web page that may help! I found this when I 1st got my GQ SS II. Helped me out a lot to understand what I was doing ! 2nd time out I detected a 18K Grill (Gangster wear) about 9" deep in the sand at waters edge. Sang out loud and clear.
GQ is real hot on any Gold

Another thing I can help you with is Identifying Aluminum. If you hit a target that is loud. Lift up your coil to your knees or higher if it's still coming loud changes are it's aluminum. Other wise your going to dig a deep hole and be disappointed. To help in Pin Pointing Turn your coil on it's side and pinpoint with the edge of coil. Hope this helps !
