I alway wondered about that, they have dogs, that are trained for sniffing out explosives, dope, medical dogs for use on patienes to sniff out cancer, WHY NOT A GOLD SNIFFING DOG? could it be posible? Grubstake
 
Grubstake If'n you find a black lab on your doorstep his name is Bubba. Please return him after you get him trained. He already knows how to fetch so just put the gold nugget in his mouth and send him home. Ps: he likes a weenie and toast for breakfast. Pondmn
