What are you guys setting your disc on for gold?

If you want to find all the gold jewelry, even the smaller and thinner chains and findings, you really need to set it below the iron/foil threshold of 40, preferrably somewhere in the 37 or 38 range since this small gold tends to fall back into the upper iron range. What you are basically doing is setting up the machine to detect ALL NON-FERROUS metals. What I like to do with most ID machines is just concentrate on the foil and nickel ranges, as this is where the majority of smaller women's rings fall, and those are the most common gold rings produced and lost by a huge margin. Couple that information with a little common-sense hunting in areas where rings are more likely to be lost, and you'll be surprised what you can find.
