ive been looking for nuggets but no luck yet, most of the gold in my area was hard rock minning, and flour gold, but its not going to be found if i dont look, the good thing is its tough country and not much trash, hot rocks are driving me nuts when in all metal, though generally they are quite large.

Gosh... I've been looking too... But evidentally we just haven't crossed over one to dig. When the smaller coil becomes available we will be able to better search around the less pounded rocks and under brush.

arnie161... years ago I was stationed at "Camp" Carson... as I remember placer gold was reportedly found near the Denver. Cherry Creek and the Platte River. I understand however, that the mineralized placer deposits are in a mineralized belt starting in Bolder County and continuing southwesterly into Chafee and Gunnison Counties. Also, have you tried around the bench deposits along Clear Creek north of Denver?
