Goldquest audio (Eric if possible)

Eric,
Is it possible to change the audio tone of the Goldquest SS from the current high tone to a lower one?
If it can be done, I guess it's something that you would have to do yourself in the form of a rotary knob hardwired to the control box. I'm unsure if there are any devices on the market that cater for this (i.e control audio between control box and headphones)
Any thoughts on the matter?
Regards
Tony,

Just get a set of headphones with a limiter built in ie Greyghosts.

Hi Tony,
Yes, you can adjust the circuit for a lower tone. It means changing either a resistor or capacitor. The resistor is easier as it can be done from the top of the board if you have a steady hand and are proficient with a fine tip soldering iron. I can email you the details if you wish.
Eric.

Hi Brian,
I think Tony means the pitch of the audio, rather than its loudness. If he is going underwater, a lower tone(pitch) is often more audible. This is why I put a switch in the Aquastar, so that the user can choose.
Thanks for your report on the Goldquest. I've mislaid it in the move, along with loads of other things, but I'm sure I'll find it again soon. Any idea when it will appear in Treasure Hunting.
Eric.

Brian,
Thanks for the reply.....Eric is correct in that I am chasing a lower pitched tone for my Goldquest. I guess my hearing is more suited to lower tones, especially with sudden volume increases.
It just so happens that I have ordered a set of Grayghost underwater headphones from Mr.Bill.
Regards
Tony.
