Hello Peeps!
I have just received my Goldquest back from Mr. Bill's repair shop. If you didnt know, I had posted earlier that I blew up my GQ when I re-built a rechargeable pack that had come undone. DOH! I rebuilt it with the wires backwards. PFFFFFSSSSST!
Thru the help of Eric Foster (sold Mr Bill a testing board he had as the GQ SS is discontinued) and Mr. Bill (who found the way to fix my GQ at a price I could afford) I am reunited with my GQ.
LESSON LEARNED: Pay attention when working with a soldering iron (did I ever tell you what happened to me once while using super glue?)
Best of all, seems like this unit is a little bit more stable than my original GQ before it went KABOOOM. Maybe Mr. Bill tuned her up a bit.
Thanks again, I thought she was a goner fer sure.
