Goldquest II

outdoorgirl

New member
My hubby has used this machine for about ten years but recently on an outing the shaft broke into two. Does anyone have a Goldquest II which they are considering selling? If you have used this machine in the past and have updated I would be interested to know which machine you have chosen and your views on it, as it might be a case of purchasing a new machine but he does not know which one. If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

The Gold Quest SS is available from Mr Bill at Surfscanner detectors. You can find his ad on the top of the page. Parts may be available? Call and ask. If you want to sell your broken detector contact me I would like to buy it :)

Hi Outdoorgirl,

There is a good possibility the shaft that broke is made by Whites. So, it should be available if that is all that is wrong. I am assuming the shaft that broke is the lower fiber one. In any case, most of the shafts were made by Whites including the upper and lower ones.

You might check to see if you have a local Whites dealer and take your shaft to him to see if it is the same as the White's units.

I know all of mine are made by Whites and I have various units made by Eric.
