Goldquest technical question

Hello
I have some question to the Goldquest detector. In the GQ SS specification at Mr Bill's web page is written:
TX width: 30 - 150uS
TX frequency: 10,000pps - 2000pps.
Does it means ... if I set the TX frequency to 10,000pps the TX widh is 30us and if I change it (TX frequency) to 2,000pps the TX widh is 150us and so on? Is TX frequency & width relation linear linked and is the TX width/frequency set by the S.A.T Poti?
Merry Christmas to all...
Chris

Chris,
I'm fairly sure the Goldquest adjust these settings(pulse widths and timings) proportionally together, by means of a clock frequency control. This is all done automatically.

Chris,
SAT feature (autotune) is not linked to TX width or frequency, it's really there for you to adjust how fast you require the machine to settle back to an even threshold. "Bad" ground (conductive or mineralised) may necessitate a "faster" SAT.
Tony.
