Goldscan 5 battery charger problem

Hi, I bought a Goldscan 5 off Eric Foster about 6 years ago (brilliant machine) But my battery charger has just packed in. Did anyone take over from Eric when he finished? if so is there a contact number or address.

I don't know of anyone taking over but there should be information printed on the present (defective) battery charger that should give you a starting point to get one built for a replacement. Please post the voltage output and current output and any other information. From that we can figure out what might work.

Next, unscrew the power plug (stereo headphone plug) on the charger and look to see where the two wires are connected. There are 3 connection points inside and only two are used. We need to know which two are used and which wire is connected to which. I suspect one of the wires has a dashed line on it. This is often the positive output but I can't say that for sure. Regardless, let us know which connection point the dashed wire is connected.

Here is a pic of the stereo plug so you can refer to the three connections.

Hi Peter.

I bought a Deepstar 3 off Eric Foster roughly 2005 and my battery charger just packed up, I put the name and model number in to Ebay search and found one for around

If one of you don't mind, would you please post the specifics of this charger for others to see. That way we have a future reference.

Thanks,

Reg
