Daughter tells me it might be dangerous. Has anyone tected there before, and how dangerous is it really? I think my daughter is just over protective;

She is its a pretty nice part of town,but like every place else it has some bad parts .But not many. good luck and happy hunting

you first show up. If it looks like your in east L.A. keep moving by.

Use your common sense and most of all your gut feeling, I hunted in Freeport ill for three years in a park that was right in the middle of slum ville, this area was so bad one of the local cops spotted me one day while driving by and stopped and payed me a visit to tell me that I was kinda in the wrong area for my color :cool:

I told him yea I kinda had a feeling that I wasn't in Mayberry, became really good friends with officer Dean and before I knew it police cruisers were always pulling into the park to say hi Ray, what ya find today while I hunted it for three years. I never had a problem at that park in the three years that I hunted it, most of the locals thought I was a cop :smoke: and didn't mess with the lonely white boy swinging a Minelab!

Found probably 80 barber coins, 100 silver Mercs and rosies, 2 center, gold, rings, a few ih's and a ton of tokens from the mid 1800's and countless other good finds. Just use common sense prodrigsr and your gut feeling, you'll know if your in a good area or not, good luck and happy hunting :thumbup:

Ray!
