Good Deed for the day

Was on my Mountian bike ride (like I do everyday) and came upon a guy setting on the side of the road. As I got closer I saw that he had blood all over his face and hands. So, I stopped and asked if he was ok. He seemed to be in a state of shock as to what had happened. Well, I pulled off my backpack and pulled out my little first aid kit I carry with me(cause I have needed it in the pass). And started to doctor him up the best I could with what I had with me. He said his buddy went back to get the car and I told him I would stay with him until he returned. It seemed to calm him down and he seemed to be a little better by the time his buddy came with the car. I helped his buddy put his bike in the van and all the guy (the guy that crashed)could say was You are my Angel today mister. I don't know bout that. But it did make me feel good to be able to help someone in need of help. As we was waitng for his buddy to come with the car there must of been at least 6 other riders that came by us and not even one person stopped to offer help. Or check to see if he was badly hurt. I think he would need maybe 1 or 2 stitches on the bridge of his nose. But I just told him he would a little sore in morning but he will pull through this one. Well now that I am thinking of it, I better go and restock my little first aid kit. Just thought I would share this little story with you all. God Bless Joe

It is always good to help others as we may need help ourselves. We must be always aware that there are some people out there who stage this sort of "accident" to get someone to stop and then, bam two or more pop out and you are the victim. I used to pick up hitchhikers years ago, but not anymore. Let us continue to help those who need our help, but be careful when you do.

you da man! Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
Well done they good and faithful servant!

God will bless you for blessing the one needing help! Yes indeed, you were his angel (without wings) for the day! You may never know how this will turn out by helping him, for this may be the way God uses him to help others......in other words love makes the world go around and the good deed may come around back to you someday from him or from someone else that was helped by him which was passed on! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Glad you could help and thankful you did. You are a good man , I thank you . It is nice to here good things people do .

As I grew up my dad NEVER passed someone sitting on side of the road. Its embedded in my head now so I have to at least make sure someone has help coming. Glad you were able to help the fella.

Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Awesome Joe! People get in such a hurry to get where they are going it becomes an inconvenience to stop and help. Sometimes they are simply afraid to help. It's comforting to know there are still kind, considerate people like you in this world.

God bless,

Doug
