...Went to the store today, the guy at the check out in front of me had 3 cartons of smokes-TOTAL for just them???$147.00:cry:...The woman at the check out told me he was buying them for the gas station, and they're tax-exempt-"and thats the price before taxes anyone else would pay".....THEN she said "AND;in a month or so;the federal tax on EACH carton is going up either to,or increasing ;by 8 bucks"....WOW-Expensive habit-Im glad its not my problem....

watching your money go up in smoke!:hot:

WG Steve, My mom always said every time someone (dad) smoked a cig, he was driving another nail in his coffin and he died from emphysema and other lung problems at the age of 71! There's a song that someone used to sing....don't remember who sang it, but it went like this: Smoke, smoke, smoke that cigarette, smoke, smoke, smoke until you smoke yourself to death and then tell St. Peter at the Golden Gate that you hate to make him wait, but you just gotta have another cigarette!

And to think many people are having trouble just to pay their bills, let alone buy cigs and ruin their health while smoking and then have to have healthcare which costs plenty these days, whether they pay or the taxpayers pay for it! Really a sad situation!

God Bless! Betty
