When I got there today;the woman scheduled to do the Lay-reading didnt show up,and I JUST KNEW Pastor would be lookin for volunteers.Most of the congregation is scared stiff to get up in front for ANY reason,so being I have experience playin;singin and readin up front and center;I said"I WILL DO IT!"...I did pretty good;too- for an on-the-spot job!!!Lay-readers also assist in Communion;and I was thinking about how believers flock to the altar for the symbols of Jesus' body and blood.That tells me one thing-GOD and HIS SON are the only thing we have to lean and rely on in this world;and they are the ones that really have it together-Wealth,good looks and popularity are all temporary;GOD and HIS SON exist for eternity!!!AMEN!!!
