hard to tell from the picture, could it be a black pearl?
 
Hi Darryl,
Congrats on the cool rings. The stone is almost assuredly moonstone, based on the classic play of light it features, which in the gemological trade is called adularescence. Moonstone was especially popular in the first half of the last century, so your find might have some age to it. A lot of the white-hued moonstone, such as yours appears to be, come from Sri Lanka. A very nice find.

The ring come from the same place i got other early
20th centery stuff so you may 100% wright.
