Had the morning free and no lightening, so was able to get in a full 4 hours for a change. Opted to hunt the edges around some parking spots near some fields I hunt and just worked the 4-5' area out from the concrete and tar mac. Kept the 5" coil on the LTD as those area's are usually pretty trashy from stuff getting washed off the parking areas' out onto the turf. The first spot I hit gave up the 925 3 turtles silver ring and the toy tank. (made in Hong Kong) The next lot was loaded with trash of all kinds and searching was a slow go. Did manage to hit the 64d Rosie right off, some of the curios and then got the 28 Merc. That 1 put me at 90 silver coins for the year. Also dug the marked sterling jewelry pin. Thought it might not be sterling as had rust spots on it. My wife just used some silver polish cleaner on it and it now looks like it could be sterling. Just as I was about to end my hunt hit a shallow big target....and decided to dig it recalling the recent coin spill I got. This turned out to be the 1990 C K Jeep truck. (made in China) The lighter lid has Bobby etched on one side and Jane on the other. Couldn't find the rest of it. It is probably around. Running 85 sen. disc 4, 3h and 4h tones and de mode. Hope everyone has a good weekend. HH jim tn

Nice finds.

Jim those small coil work great. I use the 6.5" coil almost 100% of the time now. Nice dimes, really like to dig those mercs. Next to the concrete/tarmac you must have been boiling? Great detecting Jim.....Z
