Got AT Pro back from repairs with a gift

Got my AT Pro last April and it started falsing. In Oct I sent it back for the upgrade and to fix the problem. Got it back and it was still falseing with a high tone whenever I lay it on the ground or just shake it in mid air. Also falses if you nudge it against something. In Nov I called Garrett and they sent me a new coil but it didn't fix the issue. They sent a pre-paid FEDEX label. So now that the ground was frozen here, I sent the AT Pro and both coils back to Garrett to fix on Jan 19..

Well, I just got my AT Pro back from Garrett. I think according to the paper work they replaced the circuit board. I haven't had a chance yet to take it outside to see if it is fixed.

But for my troubles, I was very suprised and happy to see they gave me a free stainless steel treasure trowel!! Not bad at all! Can't wait for some good weather to see how both the AT Pro and trowel work! Thank you Garrett!

It is my favorite for pulling coins out of the grassy areas between the road and sidewalk. The Lesche gets too narrow towards the end of the blade, and often times, the deeper coins end up staying in the hole if you are off center a bit. With the Garret digger, the broader end usually manages to get the coin out the first time. It also has increments in inches stamped on the blade. The blade is real tough too.

You did good:thumbup:

I have the Gator version of that digger, and as John said, it is better at making straight holes...The LESCHE tends to cone your hole (big at top, narrow at bottom), and leaves your target in the side walls....
I like the LESCHE for digging deep round plugs, and the Gator for digging flaps...
Do not bang too much on the top of the handle, or you will wear through the handle...I had that happen within a month...I have weak wrists, so I tend to bang the digger into the ground instead of pushing it...
