Got in 5 hours of coil swingin' at the HUNTED OUT ball diamond...and the silver STILL popped out:thumbup:

I hardly ever get more than 2 to 3 hours per hunt in but I'll be cooped up for a few days so I went for the whole afternoon. I didn't even clean these goodies off as you can see.. cause' I'm going to be late for work.:crylol: I figured I'd give the 10 x 14 Excelerator coil a spin today...and man did it pick some goodies out of a pretty trashy area... AND on edge. The first thing I dug was a merc down about 8" ...the pressure was gone now...cause' I would have been VERY happy with just one silver coin from this ball diamond. :bouncy: It has been beat to death for 30 years by every detectorist known to man...AND his dog. About 45 minutes later I got a very sweet sounding "bouncer" accross the top...BUT it kept weaseling it's way back to the top right corner...so I dug. Out popped the SLQ ...yippee! :surprised: After that...coins just kept popping out. Most of these coins were on edge or at least tilted...but this coil always finds me something because "on edge" coins are it's specialty. Dug quite a few wheaties...the wedding band...2 mercs...2 roosevelts...the SLQ...the saq. dollar coin...and the sterling silver charm. A 5 silver afternoon :wiggle: ...that almost never happens anymore at the worn out sites I hunt. I sincerely am happy if I can find just ONE silver coin at my beat up sites. Man I LOVE this hobby. :super: Between last Sunday's road trip to St. Louis ...and today's hunt...I've put 10 silvers in my pouch in the last 7 days:yo: One of my main goals this year is to find a SLQ with a date. After 30 years of hunting...still don't have one. This one is STILL a thrill as is ANY slq...cause' they don't pop out often. This is only my second one in the last 5 years...so I'm thankful

My , oh my ! Bryce!!..... You sure cleaned up at that field !:yo::super:

those are terrific finds! I love those silver coins..and the wedding band has to be white gold, correct?

How many "wheaties" did you find?

I like those Sacagawea's .I found one last week...nice strong sound, huh?

Congratulations on great detecting! I hope you have many , many more days like that!

LOL does that Silver Charm say what I think it says???

Great job on the diamond!!!

glad you got those silvers and other items. Cool.

I got the Excelerator a couple of weeks ago. It was a killer at the beach. Love the coverage and it's very stable for such a large coil. Haven't used it but once diggin' dirt (picked up a nice silver ring out of tons of trash). What kind of disc are you using? Do you work in conduct too?

Ya don't get out often, but when you do! :) Nice digs my friend! :)

22 or so. I don't use any disc. patterns. I run conduct...high gain...iron mask at 22 or so..and my sensitivity at 26 semi auto on the 10 x 14 coil.

Nice silver, Bryce! Always great to dig silver & gold! Most of the time they come out shiny bright! Not like these old ugly clad coins being minted now! They won't last like the silver coins of yester-years! May you be blessed to find more! Still using my White's Spectrum XLT when I do get out, but that is so rare that time has to slow down and give me a chance!  :)

God Bless!
