Anybody heard of Bucky Covington, and his song"A Different World"??talks about how different things were when we were kids...."No child proof lids;no seat belts in cars/rode bikes with no helmets and still here we are;still here we are"....Goes on to say"School always started the same every day/The pledge of allegiance then someone would pray"...The chorus goes"it was a different life/When we were boys and girls/Not just a different time/it was a different world"...True words for us older folks.....Im really lookin forward to playing in church in 2 weeks for Veterans'Day....Im always fine till I get ready at the last minute to start;then the BUTTERFLIES set in.Even though I am performing for folks that have heard me before;.doesnt matter-Performing in front of people is something not everybody can do.I read once a long time ago when I was in my first talent contest"JUST GET UP THERE,IGNORE THE PEOPLE LOOKIN AT YA,AND DO IT"...I also read once where some entertainer said"If you dont feel even a LITTLE BIT nervous or apprehensive performing in front of people, you dont belong in front of people"...One of the first talent shows I went to,some of the performers got so upset one threw up,and another fainted...I got to admit, when ya get up on a stage;the curtain opens up,and ya look out to see everybody out there lookin BACK AT YOU
it makes ya wonder"WHAT AM I DOING?"
