Was using my ACE 250 with the stock coil. A few guys told me that it's a Confederate Gardner. The flat buttons really threw me for a loop. Never dug any before. A little detail is on a few of them and 2 have faint traces of backmarks. I can make out the word GILT on one of the smaller ones. Some research tells me that it's from the early 1800s. A good sign I'd think. This hunt started as a coin hunt on an old lot that had a house on it long ago. Was happy enough when I found the silver Roosie then pulled the skeleton key and part of an lantern. All of a sudden I start getting the flat buttons and then the bullet. Everything was pretty shallow too. Less than 6". Got to be more stuff there.
