and it didnt take long to prove its worth, mounted it to the SE and headed for the old tired park for an hour and pulled out a 1937 merc dime and a gem studded silver pendent I love that coil..

Great!!! , glad to hear it, I keep hearing good stuff on that coil, I have one on its way to my house as I type. Its great to hear sucess stories on items that are purchased.

Now that's a great start with a new coil. I've got two other sef coils and they are also excellent. The 10x12 sef will be my next purchase. Congrats on your finds!

thanks guys, I have never used any other coil other than the stock slimline, never could go very high on the sensitivity, 15 or so, any higher than that it was just erratic. the
I turned the SEF up to 25 and it was smooth as can be, it is defiantly a pleasure to use, it pinpoints very well too I think I better head out for some more testing

Om my i cant wait too try mine tomorrow depends on how much snow we get :(

I gave it another try today in a real trashy turn of the century homestead remains and picket up another 1906 indian head, very pleased with the coil, defiantly worth it
