Hi all and I apologize for being a stranger. I only made it out detecting once this year, probably because the fly fishing bug bit me hard. I did make it out with Donnie and we had a blast. I included our finds from a recently cut field and one that was 4-6" high. I look forward to hitting the second one again once it has been cut. In regards to how I have been; Well school is going great. I have been blessed with teaching in a great school and I like all my colleagues. No one detects yet but I have planned a trip or two for the summer with another science teacher in the middle school. My marriage is going well and we have even decided we get along well enough to try and bring children into the world. I did make it out fishing quite a bit and tied a bunch of flies. My sister is now hooked on fishing so I had a chance to fish a lot with her and my nephew. So life is good and I missed all of you. Thanks for still being here and have a great Friday

to have some more time this year now at school to post a bit during my breaks. Last year I had to develop all my lesson plans, but I'm glad I put the time in because now I have time for catching up with friends. Have a great day.

I bet some youngster was pretty bummed to loose that Marlin clip.
That's a real cool button with the 4 wings(?) on it. Any clue what it is ?

where I found it was a place not open to hunting so it might have been lost at night. The button looked to be hand carved and was the first I have seen like it. The area was settled by the dutch and the home site in the field adjacent to where I found it dates back prior to 1800. Thanks for looking.

Go dig up some more !!!
