Got out for a few hours yesterday

Hunted a spot that we have been hitting since the early 80's. Every now and then another goodie is found. My last several trips there proved fruitless and yesterday I was just about finished when I decided to try a steep slope going down to a stream. Right away I got a nice high tone, and cross-hairs almost upper right, not quite. Since it was the best signal in over two hours I was happy and sure it was either a coin or large colonial button.
Fresh out of the ground I was sure it was still a coin, but not 100%. The corrosion and dirt on it was horrible and I knew cleaning this one was most likely going to result in a coin in not too good of shape. Boy, was I right.
However, I was able to identify the coin as soon as I saw the word UNUM and part of a shield. I knew then it was my TENTH NJ colonial!!!
It is by far my worst shaped one but I will still take one even in this condition.
Oh, IRON MASK -14, GAIN 10, Manual Sensitivity 30, Ferrous tones. Thankyou <img src="/metal/html/tongue.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":b">
