Got out Sunday afternoon and

Mike Chgo area

Well-known member
Hit that old lot I mentioned a few days ago. Only goodie, if you can call it that, was a 1952 Wheatie. Hit an old park and same thing. Nothing but clad. Hit a school ground just to have something to do and ended up with a couple dollars in clad. Some of the bare patches had coins laying on top of the ground because they had been uncovered by the rain. Had some fun getting out anyway.

That's more than I find on most days out... good that you got out.

would love to find some clad! Just to swing would be great! Pulltabs are starting to sound tempting!!! :)
HEELLLP!!!!!!!

is in the hunt. When you get here we will go after the old Az things at the CCC camps around the southern part of the state. Steve in so az

CCC Camps? Wow...I haven't read about those since my school days....I was always intrigued about the CCC ....are those areas open to the public?

How many are there in AZ?

how many but some are open & some are not. A few years ago a friend knew someone who was a caretaker on a ranch that had a CCC camp at one time. We had a short tour of things and said "ok, lets get our detectors". The friend said no, the owner doesn't allow that. What a let down.
I have the directions to another one about 2 hours away from me that is all open, plus a lot of parks & schools along the way. Steve in so az

Sounds like you have plenty of places to choose from for some lucrative detecting.:super:

all the places I have researched and my wife & I will hit on a trip into New Mexico in April. Lots of small town parks and about 10 long gone RR sites . Can't wait - but have to for warmer weather & other factors. steve

harder than finding silver or gold :) When you do get out, what you find really doesn't make a difference :)
