NH Bob

New member
They broke into my house today and took my laptop and the safe. Along with all our important papers were my coins.
I am left with a Morgan Dollar that I Carry on a chain.
So howed your day go?

If you are, I am sure sorry to hear that. I hope the police have uncovered some clues and your items will be located soon and returned safely. Randy

Sorry to hear that Bob, a friend of mine had eighty rings stolen all his finds from the beach, he had them in a draw of his bed side table!! the first place they would look.
Small safes should be bolted to the floor, if they catch them they should do to them like they would in the middle east cut the bastards hands off.
regards
kris

I went through this myself about 5 years ago and the main reason I got back into metal detecting again. I had lost touch with this hobby for a bit but after that it was starting all over again. Many coins were given to me by my father who started me in coin collecting. In my case they found the guy who did it (ex brother in law)but never recovered any coins. I know it doesn't make you feel any better but know some of us have been there and I feel your pain. I am sorry it had to happen to you. Hang in there and know one coin at a time, we start over. My heart goes out to you and your family. With a mailing address, I would be glad to send you something to help the start up. e mail me if you are interest in this gesture. Know you have friends here and always will.

I'm sorry to hear that Bob. I've been robbed a few times before, so I know how you feel. I hope that the insurance will at least cover it.
Mick Evans.

Sorry to hear about your loss Bob.

Or, at risk of being overly paranoid, did someone link you to your posting of finds and go from there. I remember reading a post by Tinfoil who stated he no longer posts his finds after being robbed.

catches them and a good judge throws the book at them. I hope they will be so far back in jail that they have to feed them with a pea shooter! I HATE and I maen HATE crooks> If I ever catch one in my house, I will fill him so full of holes he wouldn't hold bubble gum!!!! Those jerks!!!!!!!! Why can't they just work loke the rest of us and leave our stuff alone?????? I am really sorry to hear of your loss. The computer can be replaced, but not what was in the safe!
