got the Coinstrike out with the 8" coil

Hunted a friend's 1819 yard out in the country. And the second hole I dug had an 1840 Half Dime, stars , no drape coin in it ! Very little wear. :geek:

I was really surprised. After that I dug trash for hours.

John, was the signal mid tone? Some times I ignore mid tones, haven't dug a half dime yet.
 
I believe it may have been midtone. Rang in around 28 and locked from every angle around RF from
underground security wires and heavy trash. I thought it was going to be a 5$ gold coin, but the gold must be a little deeper. :geek: -=j=-
 
Ooooooo, nice coin. I'm still loving my C$. I can't believe the give away prices that I have been seeing the past few years for this detector.
