Got the Newish machine today

Deal worked out. Guy was super nice, I had gotten his number late last summer and talked to him then, I asked if it would be ok if I hung onto his # just in case. When I called him yesterday, he said he had finally sold it on Ebay but the other buyer never came through with the bucks. That was 6 weeks ago. He said come on and get it. Super clean only used a few times. Probably will hunt with him in the future.

I had the opportunity to use it for about 1.5 to 2 hours. No coins but I did not really expect to find much where I was, I hoped though.

I'll let you know how I like it. There is a lot going on there, looks like it has a large learning curve.

Learn quickly and good luck in finding those nicer and deeper goodies! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Good Morning Jeff,

The learning curve is much shorter than you think. Read the manual & read it again, then go to: http://www.mlotv.com/ to watch all the video's available on your new machine. You'll be surprised at the ease of opporation. Turn it on, decide which program you want to hunt in, noise cancel and hunt. It's as simple as that. You're going to love this new detector.

Hope I can figure out how slow sloowww is. Should be fun. I "dig" the technical aspect of this hobby.

The Only Word of Advice I Can Give, In Learning Your New Machine, Is To Dig EVERYTHING Until You KNOW What Sounds Produce What Types of Targets.

I was used to hunting "slow" with the x-70, it performed MUCH better swinging slow, so the etrac was so easy to learn, there was virtually no learning curve at all.

As far as slow I try to do a "one thousand one" count for swing speed each direction.

The SE right? I can help with that learning curve.
