Got to love the long tones!

I took the XS out today and decided to change the settings. After a bit of a play around at home, I changed it from factory settings to fast on and set response to audio 2. What a huge difference it made to telling targets apart. I've struggled with it on normal response, but in audio 2, coins became very easy to tell apart from other targets. They give a more consistent even tone where even the likes of screw caps give a more undulating tone. I only got caught out twice on targets and on reflection, even then, the Explorer was telling me that they were junk by their wider signal.
I hunted for an 1.45 and pulled up $13.20. I hunt this sight twice a months after each market and it was the easiest hunt that I've had with the Explorer on it due to the ease of telling what was what. I think that I will use this as my primary set up for now.
It's well worth a shot.
Mick Evans.
