GQ Aquasearch vs Aquastar

Would like to know the difference between these two units. Will the GQ Aquasearch handle hot rocks? Thanks

Hi,
From field reports, it appears that the Aquasearch generally responds less to hot rocks than the Aquastar. There are different types of iron mineral in hot rocks, so it is hard to be certain in your case, how it would perform.
By the way, the Aquastar is out of production at the moment, as the cases are no longer available.
Eric.

The problem I encounter tends to be bricks with their heavy iron concentration, is there a method to minimize their impact when using a pulse detector, or are there certain detectors which can handle this situation better than others. Personally in these areas I switch to a different type of detector.
Thanks Eric for your thoughts
