Hello Everyone,

Haven't been detecting much lately, so haven't had much to post. Got these at the road constuction site next to our house. Did manage to pick off a few wheats, IHs, and a little bit of silver.

This is the road that I detected before they started doing anything, did not find much, usual complaints: Tons of trash and power lines limit sensitivity to high teens. I've been hitting it as they remove the sidewalks and do other work. Was sad to watch that most of the potentially best dirt was hauled away. Last thing they did was scrape off some of the grass and dirt around the water meter shut-offs and that has been the best hunting. I'm sure the great bulk of the good stuff is now sitting deep in an old abandoned gravel quarry and the rest is still masked by junk.

Upper right token is says G.A.R. WAR RELIC EXHIBIT W.R.C. 1887 with a picture of a building and MILWAUKEE, WISC. on the other side. Store token is for a Oster Bros. Furniture store- didn't find any info on this. Last item is makeup compact, broken mirror inside. I've found a few of these and always hope I'll find a coin inside.

We had an all day soaking rain, have alot of sites I want to hit. Problem is I'm doing home remodeling and have half the plumbing torn out and all the electrical left to do. Murphy's law suggest this will take longer than planned(already has). So perhaps sneaking off to hunt is not prudent. Only one seated coin this year compared to 17 for last year, I have some catching up to do.

Chris,Ask the truck driver where he is dumping the dirt and if you get permission to detect there you have all the moved dirt in one spot.I do it all the time. Good luck.
