The time has come to open up the trunk and see what is inside! The lock is open and the kids are ready. Anika and Zakary popped the latches and swung it open,

At first glance it is empty, but the drawers on the right side hold some interesting surprises. The first drawer held this very old wooden cigar box all latched up and safe.

One of the things in this box were these old glasses that turned out to be marked 12 k gold! The look good on Anika.

The box also had a lady's compact and this book. The copyright is 1869. That is older than DW.

Another drawer had this old tin cigar box in it, and though it was small it held the best stuff!

From it came a very old pocket knife and a coin purse! Zakary is holding it up before we opened it.My next post will show you what we found in it.
