These Grey Ghost have a Story behind them
I left the Dominican Republic, and came to Costa Rica to live(hopefully)..I got a Hotel in San Jose and started getting everything I thought I would need to go down to an unknown Town, clear down by the Border of Panama (Golfito)..I ordered the Grey Ghost from Doc (of Swingy Thingy fame).Weeks and Weeks went by,and when I had finished getting everything(my nice old 72 Land Rover Diesel) I contacted Doc saying I was staying in this Hotel, pretty much just waiting for the head Phones..I said "Doc,ME THINKETH YOU PLAY WITH YOUR SWINGY THINGY TOO MUCH! where's my order?,Another Two Weeks or so,I got them with an Apology, and he said "never Mind the Cost, their Free! That's been around 14-15 yrs or so.I'm not in Costa Rica anymore, but my old Land Rover still is.

Good story on the headphones. When I was in England, a little over 20 years ago, I should have gotten a Land Rover and shipped it back to the states. I don't care much for the new ones, but the older ones were very good utility vehicles and are getting unaffordable in the US. Good luck with your Grey Ghosts! Hope they live for a lot longer.

Hi,tvr
I tried opening up the Headphones, but man they did'nt give any indication that they had any inclination to open. That Seam that runs around between Black and grey had a crusty Salt formation oozing out. So,I put them in the waash Basin and gave them a good flush with the warm Water we have here .(Santa Marta,Colombia) They seemed almost Water-proof.Things dry here really fast, living under the Fans and 80f Temp.Keep my fingers crossed. No more Freebies from the Doc Ja ja.

Arriving in Costa Rica,as I did,I shopped for a Land Rover. Some Guy I met at the Hotel took me up to Coffee Country in the North. These Coffee Fincas Had Land Rovers abundo...Barns,with One or Two retired old L/Rs in themThey were perfect for the Coffee Plantations work.(narrow Rows and Coffee bean trailers.)Most needed a little Work to get them off the Farm.I found mine at a L/R repair "Specialist" Shop.I had to Pay $5,000 for it,but ,man it was in beautiful condition for a 1972 Model the inside was like new with that tough "Rhino Hide" Land Rover upholstery.(patented I think).Had it in my Yard for 13 yrs. With it's Four Cylinder Diesel Engine, always ready for the task at Hand.Everyone Loves their old Land Rovers, their even ridiculous about em'..They all are given Names by the Owners.I sold miine after getting tired of only having 3 Speeds (1-3-4) I'm always so damned poor I had to let it go to a Guy in Costa Rica,an American, from Florida, him and his brother were living in Costa Rica and buying every L/R they could find, they shipped them back to Florida to a Shop who rebuilds them and gets top dollar for them.($14,000?)
Enough for now. stoneshirt.
