I had an invite to go hunt Ft. Benjamin Harrison yesterday. It is private property and we had to have a written invite in our pocket at all times. I got checked twice. We were able to hunt the parade grounds area that I figure was about the size of 30 football fields. This parade grounds was established in 1903.
There were five of us and we found many keepers. Here are mine.......

One 1906 Indian, 9 wheats, and two nickels from the 50's

5 silvers including a dime tri-fecta!!! 1912 Barber dime, 1940 and 1942 mercs, a 1956S Rosie, and a 1943P war nickel.

ID bracelet, a beaver pendant, and another pendant.

Very great hunt and to be able to detect with permission on private property is sure a nice invite and to go with detecting buddies! Looks like you had a lot of fun as well as finding nice coins and goodies! Not everyone is blessed enough to get to hunt private and virgin territory! May God keep on blessing and Mike save some goodies for others! :) Ma Betty

All work at no play makes Rick a dull boy! Just kidding....hopefully, the painting will get done and then you can take time to go :detecting: and find some nice goodies! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Mike, Is there more than one Ft. Harrison? I go to Ft. Harrison in Helena, Montana quite frequently and was wondering if you were in the neighborhood?

Mark,
Missoula, Montana

3 from Indiana, and Shawano. There were 2 LC's, 5 more IH's, 3 more silver dimes, several more wheats, about 2 dozen more military buttons and other items., one gold plated ring, and many misc.
