I found these 2 great videos by Keith Southern. Some very eye opening tests done and I thought everyone should see them:

A bit curious here..... the info is good and helpful, but how is he doing that on a cement floor? There should be rebar all over the underside of that slab. If I tried that in my shop I would get nothing but iron sound from the rebar.

Honestly I don’t know. He does tons of videos in there and i’ve never heard the rebar go off

First thing I noticed was all the cracks in the concrete, no rebar.

Surface cracks can happen from natural ground settlement.........

I have poured nearly 100 garage floors in the past and none had rebar.

Rebar doesn’t keep it from cracking. Only keeps it from separating.
