has anyone used these headphones?thinking about buying a pair, how comfortable are they

And very loud. They are probably the loudest headphones out there.
The tone is excellent, but I really like the entire Grey Ghost line.
However, side by side, I would have to say the Black Widows are by far the loudest.
One down side. I wiah they had made them some other color than black. When you are prospecting for gold in the Arizona desert when the temps are 112 degrees, black headphones are not my first color choice.
We have the whole selecting of Grey Ghost headphones on my site.

they are great on the beach to help hearing over the surf noise

I got a pair for my dad, he use's hearing aids. He really likes them, says he can still use hearing aids with them on. The other kind he had he could not. I have the gray ghost NDT, they are nice too.

I've had a pair of Black Widows with my Sovereign for awhile. Previously I used Koss headphones. Night and day difference - the Black Widows are far superior. I wear glasses and found them to be very comfortable and they block out a ton of background noise. The downside is that they can get a bit warm during the summer here in Charlotte, NC but I mostly hunt in the morning anyway so it hasn't been a big problem.
If I could change anything I think they should label the switches. It takes me about 5 seconds to figure them out each time I put them on but having a couple labels would make the job easier.

The best headphones I've used. Sure beat Koss/Whites and Minelab's own. Almost completely shut out outside noise, really great when hunting near the ocean, or on windy days. I use them with my XLT and Explorer XS, as they have the 'stereo/mono' switch.
