been running my machine with audio responce on 3 and im afraid im missing deep targets because of the noise. bump up discrim to 2.5 on my deep program but still was getting it. I want to hear everything because im always looking for old homesites so I need to hear them nails.

You could turn iron volume down to 1 so you would still hear it but it wouldn't be too loud. Keep reactivity down to 1 if you can but if its very busy you can start increasing reactivity.

running full tones so iron volume is not in play. I think ground notch is gonna come into play because I was falsing in the stubble today

It should not false if your GB is high, try touching your hand on the coil at 90, if it's quiet it's OK.
Then lower the GB to 60, it may now false when touched, this is normal
Make sure your TX is not to high and you are not in tracking mode.
Has this noise just started ?

it was just bad yesterday in the field I was in. tx was on 3 so that maybe the problem.

What is your "Deep Program?"

It is my deep program and I read something today about another guy having the same problem. My trash program has a reactivity setting of 3 and its fine my deep program has a reactivity setting of 1 and thats the only difference between the 2 programs both full tones.He was commenting on the full tones and thats how ive learned my machine so I dont know if it does it with the other tones,
