Ground Notch?

unearth

Member
I know this question has probably been asked, but, I still don't understand using the ground notch. I've seen a video on youtube where a gentlemen shakes his Deus in the air and it chatters. He sets his ground notch at a particular level and then shakes the Deus again and no chatter. I understand some users record the ground notch into their programs. Why? What does this help? I shake my Deus in the air and their is no chatter so I don't use it. Should I use it? If so, where do I set the ground notch at?
Thanks in advance for any help in this matter.

You have seen all the reasons. Less oddball beeps and chirps is why.

I to have trouble with knowing what GN is for. Dose it lock in a ground balance so it wont change or only let it change one way, " up or down" in one number or what.

Ground notch is for reducing the chatter and occasional false signals and
has no impact on depth or sensitivity...
I've put it in all of my programs and have a nice quiet machine most times
