GT Volume ???

New member
Hi All,

I have GT and am wondering if i have a problem or not? When I have the volume turned up all the way and threshold set so i hear the hum, i turn the volume back and the threshold gets louder. I noticed when i go over the targets it also sounds louder. When i turn the volume back going over a target does not sound as loud. Anyone else have this problem or is it normal.

Thanks
Kevin

I solved my own problem. I had the threshold switch in silent mode. I switched it back seems to work fine.

Even though you had silent search on this is how the GT or any Sovereign is. The volume control is for target volume, not threshold volume so many will think it don't work correctly as they will turn on the Sovereign and set the threshold and when they turn up the volume they will notice either the volume don't get louder, or the threshold will be harder to hear as more power will be going to the target volume. If you have the volume at minimum and run a target by it it will be hard to hear, but as you are going over the target turn up the volume and the target will get louder while the threshold will stay the same, or may even get weaker.
This is why it is recommended that you turn the volume to max on the detector and adjust your headphone to a comfortable volume.
