Just acquired a new GTAx1250...came with a 7x10 elliptical coil. Will it punch thru high mineralisation and salty beaches? How does it perform in trashy areas,[lots of bottle caps and tabs]?
 
Don't know about the mineralization and salty beaches, but in the trashy areas it will hold it's own. Pretty good seperation for a bigger coil and the pinpointing is dead on onece you get the hang of it.
 
The 7x10 is a concentric and not a DD so will perform on salty beaches and n high mineralization as any other concentric will and it works well in trashy areas.
