Hey everyone, I am Jeff from Northwest, IL and just got a new detector and was wondering if anyone could give me any advice or tips. I got the GTI 1500 on Thursday and have found a few things thus far. I found a few wheaties and today a 1919 buffalo nickel. If anyone out there would like to offer some help please feel free. I'm learning it slowly, but a little advice never hurts. Thanks everyone.
Regards,
Jeff

At this point I would advise you to read the manual from cover to cover. Detect for a day read the manual from cover to cover. Detect for another day and read the manual from cover to cover. I also reccomend using the setting in the manual for the hours recommended. Another help would be to go back through the messages and see what you can pick up. If you have specific questions you will find the help here, but just asking for tips and advice is a little general. Good job on the buffalo nickel, they can be tough to find.
