GTI 2500 settings for the beach?

Hello everyone,

Once again, think a have a beginners question. Thing is that until I can afford a water detector, I want to try my luck at the beach with my GTI 2500 (9 in coil), since its a trashy one my first thought is to use disc. but I know I'll be missing a lot of good stuff. So I think I should go All metal mode, am I correct? also what about ground mineralization? how can I tell what setting is the best for it? Do i need to change settings from wet to dry sand? Thanks for the help again:thumbup:

Try ground balancing the machine to the wet sand, then, as you scan, use the fast track button often, and that should give you some decent results. In discriminate mode, turn down the sensitivity to a somewhat stable operating level, set the audio threshold to barely audible and notch out some of the low end iron and the last couple of notches on the right (11.5 & 12). This should help you and you will still be able to size an object. Good luck!
