GTI1500 finds gold again but signal was strange...and lessons learned

I made many trips to a local football field with no results but my patience paid off with this find (very satisfying) - but the ring (8.5g - 9k) eventually ID'd at 7.5 which seems high - but it was also bouncing around - maybe it was because it was just slightly pushed in the mud.

Very little has come out of this field but I systematically searched it over several weeks - so the moral of the story is be patient and thorough with your detecting!

Great ring... Congrats to ya:clapping:
Im still waiting for my 1st with
the GTI

And the way the weather looks that
will be next year!!!

have safe happy and fun hunts

I GUESS THAT'S A GOOD SIGNAL IN COIN MODE TO BE SUSPICIOUS OF. I HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH MY 1500. I NOW HUNT IN JEWELRY MODE, IN THAT MODE I GET A GOOD CLEAR SIGNAL AND I DON'T DIG MANY PULL TABS.

More likely, there was something else near it that caused the jumping cursor.

Nice find. Hard work and patience pays off. People will continue to reseed the field with lost coins or jewelry, just like planting a garden and enjoying the harvest!

Alright!:bouncy:WTG!:thumbup:Congrats on the gold!:cheers:Happy Hunting!:)
