The group I will be traveling to Guetemala with is leaving this tuesday morning.
Please pray for our safety.
Please pray we are open to doing Gods work in Gods way.
Please pray we save some souls, and bring reliefe to those in need.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep [me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested. 1 Ch 4:10
Jabez said a prayer that we all could very well use in our daily prayers. Take my coast, this easily applies to each of our own sphears of influence and not just to our "personal property".
We will be in Guatemala for 9 days total. We will be working for a Dr. and his staff. They are missionaries who we support from several of our churches. They run a Christian school in a town with no other schools. They also put on mobil clinics. We will do some light construction at the school, making repairs and such (two days). We will also set up and run clinics for the balance the time we are there. We will do addmiting, sterilising dental tools, assisting dentists and doctors, and child care. Child care will include Christian arts and crafts. Most importantly (in my mind) is there will be a prayer warrior for the duration of each clinic. He (or she) will pray over patients and over the clinic as a whole.
I have traveled with some of this groupe to Guatemala and incredible things happen.
