hit the lots for 4 hours today found $31.25 in 59 coins also found 2 US Penny's.
man its hot over here :hot:  wish you guys would send some snow this way.

wow those tot lots hold alot of trash but i guess if you want the good stuff you need too dig the trash up first.

Good finds in the tot lots.
-20 and plenty of snow here:laugh:

That is one pile of trash! How much do you estimate you get in a year?

dahut i was getting three 4-5 hour hunts every second week as i was working 7 days on 7 days off but with my new job i"m hunting 1 day for 5-6 hours a week & maybe 2-3 hours after work.
this was a good trash day usually i get way more junk than this
i"m hunting more over the holidays but i"m also doing some security work for my old boss witch is cutting down the hunt days  owell the family needs the money

Nice haul. I started in tot lots this spring and it helped me to learn how to use my detector. I've found that most of the higher value coins 1-2 bucks, as opposed to pennies, are found at snow melt. The kids must drop them in the snow and then out of sight, out of mind, I suppose.

Very nice outing. 6 inches of snow and 7 degrees here in NY state! I envy you. Happy New Year to ya and I wish you the best for 09!

Rick:beers:

mmmmm snow money that gives me a idea of an area i"d like to hunt one day :clapping: i"ll have to add it to the list. yeah were lucky in Aussie as we can hunt all year round usually i hunt old coins in the winter when the grounds soft & new $$$ in the summer to fill up the play money coffers.
thanks Oakman hope you & every one else has a great new year to
