Had a fun time diggin this morning...finally got some rain..

Went back to the spot where I found the Barber Half a few weekends back and found some more cool old coins.

I love finding coins like these. This is what I'm after and its fun when ya find em.

The large cent is my 5th for the year. Its a 1841. The "18" is drilled right through. Large cents are fun. Found it next to an old tree about 7 inches down.

The Seated is a 1891 S mint mark. Can never get enough seateds. This is my 2nd for the year.

The Barber dime is a 1905 O mint mark. Its in real nice condition.

I also like the older buttons and the wheatie is a 1912.

Had a good soaking almost all day Friday and the ground was easy diggin. This place is fun to detect. It has been hit by others over the years but they didn't have an explorer.
There is a lot of territory yet to cover but I don't know if I can go back the rest of the year. I don't want to wear out my welcome. Gotta play it by ear. Here they are before and after a slight cleaning....

We had our annual club (planted) hunt today. I dug 4 Peace dollars, 12 silver quarters, 11 silver halfs and 8 silver dimes. Also dug 4 tokens worth $30.00 in cash prizes and one Sacagawea golden dollar.

Sounds like ya tore em up. Never been to one of those. Doesn't really appeal to me. Congrats on all the finds and wins.
