Yesterday I returned to a park that I first tried on my birthday last week. On my BD I was there for seven hours and found 84 coins including a recent Columbian 100 Peso, a kid

How long we're you there out of curiosity and which signals if any do you typically ignore?

I started at 7:00 a..m. and by 8:30 it was already getting pretty warm. I quit at 11:35 when I was on the verge of heat stress. I forced myself to stay hydrated and tried to keep thinking that heat stress can sneak up on a person without much warning. I was definitely (more) addle brained by the time I left.

I generally ignore signals below VDI 45. Some Garrett users have found gold in the high 30s but I've found that when I dig most of the signals in that VDI range I end up bringing home a bushel of foil and can slaw and no gold. The soil around here is highly mineralized. I don't know if that would make targets register differently than in low mineral soils. I always set ground balance from between 89 to 93.

Thanks, John! Actually, I found the Batman ring at an old school (now torn down), March 2011.

Nice job getting what the other guy's missed

Thanks! I was feeling vindicated for filling up their holes then I started thinking maybe they are brand new to the hobby and no one taught them any better. If that's the case I guess I shouldn't be so hard on them.
