Had another great day

Last week, I was able to get out to my first cellar hole. The site was in N. Hampshire and was found by Jason, a friend of another person I met up there. The first find was a nice colonial button, on edge, which is why the others may have missed it. Then I got an iffy signal, kinda good, kinda broken. I checked the hole and found a nail with my pin-pointer. I thought I'd check the hole again, looking for what may have caused the decent sounds, and found another nail; both were about 1/2 inch long. It was the third check that explained the nice sound: a decent 1825 penny. It's a bit crusty, but I'll take it! I found a few more buttons over the next hour or two and we were fixing to leave when I tried an area next to the road just for the heck of it. I got a good signal in the 80's that hit both ways. It was faint, but definitely there. About 6 inches down was a nice dime, the only silver to come out of the area. It's an 1823 capped bust dime and is in decent shape. My settings were 1 disc., 3 tones, sens about 85, and about a 65 gb. I was using the 11 inch coil. I'm liking the Omega!

Outstanding finds kraykelper!

Nice condition on that "outside" coin. Congrats!

The Omega is absolutely amazing for the money. I sold my T2 and now am selling my Nautilus IIB and will be full time with the Omega 8000!

That's how I got my Omega: I sold my IIBa. No regrets.
